Welcome to Shanbow's Blog

 F
I am writing this blog for 3 reasons:

1) Yes, I love Shannon, that one is a given.
2) For the friends and family of Shannon Bow who are looking for details on Shannon's status and daily progress.
3) I am writing it too, for Shannon. At the moment she is still having trouble remembering details and there have been so many amazing moments that deserve to be recorded. I think she'll like reading about them later.

I encourage those of you who are reading this to write comments to Shannon. I know she will appreciate it. I asked Shannon for permission to create this blog, and she agreed, so I am sure she will check it out when she can. I have been reading her your text messages, emails, FB messages etc for her and it always gets a smile!

I hope that other people will take a moment to share thoughts, updates, highlights and the like as we journey with Shannon through this time.

Thanks everyone for your prayers, your love and your positivity. It is helping more than you know.

  1. Oh my dear Leisa,
While we cannot try to understand why this happened, thank goodness for the Joanna part and the she'll-be-alright part and I have an unspeakable amount of gratitude for the technology that allows us to communicate, and for yuo who is taking the time when I know you don't have it to write...thank you. I wish for you a peaceful heart and am sending you and Shannon all the cyber-love I can. Breathe. Keep moving forward. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

  5. Dear Shannon, although we dont know each other all that well...you will be happy to know that I am a warrior myself and someone good to have on your side. Shannon...I will not give up praying for you. I will lift you up daily and ask for angels to continually comfort you and keep you safe.

I am believing for a miracle and speedy recovery through the rest of the procedures you will encounter.

I will continually ask for the strength of your spirit to rise up and for peace to surround you every minute of the day.

You are a special girl and I look forward to you telling your story in person one day and touching people's lives with your own personal message.

You are loved and you are in God's hands!!!

  7. Dear Shannon,
I know you will come out of this as close to 100% as one can. I know this because Leisa has always said you and I are alike in one way - we are both stubborn. I can think of only one way to truly show you how much I care and will support you. At this moment I am - wait for it - watching the Canucks and - wait for it - cheering for them (shudder). Get well soon, I dont know how long I can keep this up.

    Prayers and love.
